A little over a month had passed. Occasionally, there'd be word from inside Arcadia. Occasionally, there'd be more deliveries of food. But the uneasy peace was doomed from the start, and at least some people knew that.
Eventually the message comes. Something has been found. Something that Copy X wants to speak to them in person about, but he can't leave the city at the time. He thinks Weil is suspicious and would take advantage of any absence. But he can give them access codes to an area of Arcadia away from the human residential sections, where they can meet...

13/2/12 07:17 (UTC)They won't need to get too close to the warehouse to notice the commotion and the attempts to build a tent-city for temporary shelter. Refugees have already started fleeing Arcadia, and Copy X is having them brought here.

15/2/12 03:50 (UTC)"Refugees is a fourth game thing anyway. Given that it's Weil, we've probably always had less time than we thought we did."
He glances over the crowd for familiar faces. There's Plum and Ripot, apparently getting ready to do a news report on the event. Several Lights and some Repliforcers doing crowd control... and a few Wilybots trying to stay back and not cause the crowd to panic.
He heads for the entrance to the warehouse, figuring Enker's probably in the command center and they can check in there before going to the VR. He reaches the door about the same time a commotion breaks out in the refugee camp.

15/2/12 04:03 (UTC)From the brief smirk, Forte is amused. But then it's hard not to be seeing the human giving the Lightbots trouble. "Wish more humans were like that."

And it only gets worse. Somehow the girl manages to tangle Ice and Fire up in a tarp that was going to be a tent, and throws a bucket of water on Elec. Elec's frozen in place, terrified of accidentally shorting himself out while he's wet.
Then the girl runs for it. But she doesn't get more than a few yards before she gets a better look at the Nexus and realizes she doesn't have a clue where she's running to. Well, not exactly. She knows exactly where she wants to go - straight to Arcadia and put a bullet through Weil's head. She just doesn't know how to get there from here.

15/2/12 04:25 (UTC)"Ha! She took down three in less time than it takes some bots to even start a fight," Forte laughs.

15/2/12 04:55 (UTC)He's laughing too, though. "Lightbots won't fight back against humans, but they're still never going to hear the end of that..."
"How do I get back?!" Atlanta yells. And she doesn't much care for it when a Repliforcer tries to tell her it isn't safe to go back. In fact, her response to that is a string of profanity and some derogatory comments about said Repliforcer's apparent cowardice. The fight's not over till the enemy's in pieces! You don't just leave!
"It's like she doesn't even realize she's squishy," Zero comments. He's starting to wish he had popcorn. "I'd say let her go back, but the first Pantheon with decent aim would kill her." Humans just aren't plasma resistant.
